Grand St

we parted lips

then parted ways

though we used to love

to linger

we used to watch

our shadows

dance, meld,

and then disfigure

in part, i think we envied

something sweet

and something simple

those intertwining lines

our bodies made

hid all the distance

that fucked up tangled mess

we once called love

still stains the pavement

so i can't help but wonder

is a part of you still waiting?
